banana doughnuts?

note to self; the V-con jelly doughnut cupcake recipe works quite well when one subs out spelt for the AP flour, and chopped up banana for the jelly. Unfortunately, they get snarfed too fast to get a photo. Perhaps I'll just have to make more....

ohhhhh, I *like* those subs! nutmeg and banana and spelt? now THAT sounds a cupcake I could get into.

sometimes really good things happen when one is out of the "basics" like, say, jam of any variety and oil that isn't olive oil...I ended up mashing up banana to replace the oil, in addition to the banana "filling" and then sprinkled them with cinnamon and more nutmeg...awesome, definitely try them.

Hi again!
Just wanted to pass on this information ...

Boston Magazine recently published an article all about us this month - here is the link:

Oh Soy Tasty!

If you have a few minutes to spare, could do us a huge favor and read the article and comment at the bottom of the page? We're very excited about getting such great press, especially from a magazine of this caliber. If everyone drops by and leaves a quick comment, soon there will be no doubt in any publisher's mind: YES, readers absolutely do want to know about vegan happenings and developments. Please don't hesitate to repost the article on your blog and spread the world!

Thanks!
